Verizon today made two announcements: one targeted at postpaid customers and one for prepaid users.

First up, Verizon is now offering a feature called Safe Wi-Fi. This is a VPN that you can use when connecting to public Wi-Fi to help protect your data and browsing activities from malicious parties and also block ad tracking.

Safe Wi-Fi is available to Verizon postpaid plans. It's priced at $3.99 per month for up to 10 devices, and it's compatible with Android and iOS devices. Once you sign up, you download the Safe Wi-Fi app, which will get you one-month free promo if you sign up through it. You then open that Safe Wi-Fi app when you're connected to Wi-Fi to activate the feature.

Verizon today also confirmed a new prepaid promotion. For a limited time, you can get four Verizon Prepaid lines for $100 per month. Just sign up four lines for Verizon's $40 prepaid plan and, in addition to the Prepaid Family Plan discount, you'll get a $30 discount on your fourth line each month.

You'll continue to get that $30 discount on your fourth line if you decide to mix and match prepaid plans, but it'll disappear if you remove your fourth line.

This prepaid plan offer will end on October 31st.
