Many people rely on a shrill buzzing or built-in jingles to wake them up with their morning alarm, but now Android users have another option when using the Google Clock app.
The Google Clock app for Android now offers Spotify integration. This means that you can set your alarm to wake you up with your favorite music from Spotify. You can browse your recently played music, use Spotify's curated playlists, or search for specific tunes. And after you switch off your alarm, you'll be able to continue listening to your music through Spotify.
This new feature works with both free and premium Spotify accounts. You will need the latest versions of the Google Clock and Spotify apps to get the feature, and you'll also need to be on Android 5.0 or higher. Google says that this feature is rolling out globally this week.
This is a pretty nifty feature that could help make waking up in the morning better. You can play mellow tunes to help wake you up gently, choose a pumping soundtrack to get you hyped for your day, or whatever else will help you wake up and get ready for your day.
