With exactly two weeks to go before Samsung's big August 9th event, the company is kicking the hype machine into high gear.
Samsung today released a teaser for its upcoming Unpacked announcement. The video depicts a person who's getting ready to meet up with friends, but their phone has a low battery. Despite them dimming the screen, quitting apps, turning off GPS, and more, the battery power continues to drop, and when they try to plug in to a battery pack, they discover that they forgot to charge it. The teaser ends with the phone's battery dying.
"Battery can't keep up? A lot can change in a day," the teaser reads. Samsung's description for the teaser says, "On August 9th 2018, power will no longer be a problem."
It's widely expected that Samsung is going to announce the Galaxy Note 9 at its August 9th event, and this teaser hints that the Note 9 will have a long battery life. Rumors have suggested that the Note 9 could have a 4000mAh battery, which would be significantly larger than the 3300mAh battery in the Galaxy Note 8.
