Honor View 20 fully revealed with 6.4-inch hole-punch display and 48MP rear camera

Honor View 20 official

After briefly posing for some teaser photos earlier this month, the Honor View 20 and its hole-punch design have now been fully revealed.

The Honor View 20 features a hole-punch in the upper left corner of its 6.4-inch screen, and that's where the 25MP front-facing camera lives. Around back, Honor has equipped the View 20 with a 48MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor that's paired with a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) sensor for improved object recognition. The 48MP camera is also capable of 960fps slow motion video capture.

Getting back to the display, the Honor View 20 offers a 6.4-inch 2310x1080 LCD screen with a hole-punch in the upper-left corner and a chin at the bottom. There's a fingerprint reader on the back of the device as well as USB-C and 3.5mm ports. Inside, Honor has equipped the View 20 with an octa-core Kirin 980 processor, just like the Huawei Mate 20 flagship that was launched recently

Honor will offer versions of the View 20 with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, as well as 128GB or 256GB of storage. Dual SIM slots are included as is a microSD card slot, and a 4000mAh battery is powering this whole package. Honor is also touting the View 20's dual GPS (L1+L5) for better accuracy and its Link Turbo feature that enables simultaneous downloading with Wi-Fi and 4G to give your speeds a boost.

The View 20 comes preloaded with Honor's Magic UI 2.0.1 which runs atop Android 9 Pie.

The Honor View 20 will launch in China (where it'll be known as the Honor V20) at a starting price of 2999 yuan, or $435 USD, for the 6GB/128GB model. The 8GB/128GB model will cost 3499 yuan ($507 USD), while the top-end 8GB/256GB version will set buyers back 3999 yuan ($580 USD). Honor has said that it'll hold an international launch event for the View 20 on January 22, so we should find out where the device will be offered outside of China then. Stay tuned.
