OnePlus 6T gets OxygenOS 9.0.10, Open Beta 1 updates

OnePlus 6T hands-on review

OnePlus 6T owners now have not one, but two software updates available to them.

First up, OxygenOS 9.0.10 is now rolling out to the OnePlus 6T. This update brings with it the December 2018 Android security patches, improved Wi-Fi stability for better connectivity, improvements to Face Unlock, and better Nightscape performance.

OnePlus says that this update is rolling out incrementally. That means that it'll hit a small number of OnePlus 6T owners today and that a broader rollout will begin in a few days. This is done to ensure that there are no major issues with the update before it starts hitting all OP6T devices.

OnePlus today also announced the first Open Beta update for the OnePlus 6T. Those owners who like to try out software before the general public can now install the Open Beta 1 update, which brings the December 2018 security patches, support for migrating data from iPhone, and more. Here's the full changelog for the OnePlus 6T's Open Beta 1 update:

System

  • Updated Android security patch to 2018.12
  • Added toast message when parallel apps are unavailable due to data corruption

Communication

  • Added call history for incoming calls from unknown numbers
  • Optimized UI for Spam messages and calls

OnePlus Switch

  • Now supports migrating data from iPhone

If you've got a OnePlus 6T and you're interested in trying the Open Beta 1 update, there are a couple things to know. First is that because this is beta software, you may encounter bugs while using it, and you should report those bugs to OnePlus. Second is that you can go here to install the Open Beta 1 update onto your device.
