Google Maps is making it easier to follow businesses you love and find out about new ones.
First up, Google Maps for Android users can follow places from within the app. Just tap the "Follow" button on a place's business page and you'll get news like events and offers in the "For You" tab of the Google Maps app.
Google is also adding profiles for places before they open. The feature is rolling out to Google Maps for Android and mobile search. Places that are opening soon and want to appear here can create a free Business Profile that'll appear to users up to three months before he business opens.
This upcoming businesses feature is rolling out over the next few weeks.
