One of the big features of the iPhone XR is that it's a couple hundred dollars less than Apple's other new iPhone, the XS. But if you're looking for a new iPhone that's even cheaper, Apple has a deal for you.
Apple is now selling refurbished versions of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in its online store. The 64GB iPhone 8 is available in Gold, Silver, and Space Gray color options, and they're all priced at $499. The 64GB iPhone 8 Plus is available in the same three color options at a price of $599.
These devices are sold unlocked and should work on all four U.S. carriers. Also of note is that phones refurbished by Apple come with a brand new battery, a new outer shell, and a new white box. Apple includes a one-year warranty with each refurbished iPhone, too.
While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are no longer Apple's flagship smartphones, they're still solid smartphones that should serve anyone well. They've got Apple's A11 Bionic processor, Touch ID, wireless charging, and a display without a notch, something that could make them pretty appealing to some folks.
