Along with its new Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and Xperia XA1 Plus, Sony today also made an announcement regarding its Android 8.0 Oreo update plans.
Sony will update 10 of its devices to Android 8.0. These include flagships like the Xperia XZ, mid-range devices like the Xperia XA1, and the Xperia Touch projector. Here’s the full list of Sony devices that’ll get a taste of Oreo:
- Sony Xperia X
- Sony Xperia X Performance
- Sony Xperia XZ
- Sony Xperia X Compact
- Sony Xperia XZ Premium
- Sony Xperia XZs
- Sony Xperia XA1
- Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra
- Sony Xperia Touch
- Sony Xperia XA1 Plus
It’s also worth noting that Sony’s new hero phones, the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, will launch with Android 8.0 Oreo in tow.
There’s no word yet on when Sony will begin pushing these Android 8.0 updates out, but at least owners of these devices can rest easy knowing that there’s an Oreo coming there way at some point in the future.
