On the same day that Apple sent out invitations to its next iPhone event, the company has unleashed a fresh iOS 11 beta.
iOS 11 beta 9 is now available to registered developers, just three days after the last beta update. If you’re a developer, you can get this update by going into Apple’s Developer Center or by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your enrolled iOS device.
This new iOS 11 beta update doesn’t appear to be rolling out to public testers in the Apple Beta Software Program quite yet. Recent beta updates have rolled out to public testers within a day or so of the developer release, though, so folks in the Apple Beta Software Program should keep an eye out for their new beta update later today and tomorrow.
iOS 11 is the next major update for Apple’s mobile operating system. It brings with it a redesigned and customizable Control Center, an app dock for the iPad, a Files app, Do Not Disturb While Driving, and much more.
Apple has said that iOS 11 will be released to the public this fall. It’s possible that the release will happen in the days following Apple’s September 12th event, so it may not be long before everyone gets to sink their teeth into iOS 11’s new features.
