Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs leak, include 6.3-inch display and dual 12MP cameras

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 colors leak

Earlier this week, we got a look at the Galaxy Note 8’s exterior. Now a new report has revealed what’s inside Samsung’s next flagship Android phone.

A report from VentureBeat claims to have all of the spec details of the Galaxy Note 8. The front of the phone is reportedly home to a 6.3-inch 2960x1440 Super AMOLED display at an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, which means that this’ll be another tall screen like the one found on the Galaxy S8. Above that 6.3-inch screen is an 8-megapixel camera.

Around back lives two 12-megapixel cameras. One is a wide angle lens with f/1.7 aperture and dual pixel autofocus, while the second camera is a telephoto lens that offers 2x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture.

Inside the Note 8 lives a Snapdragon 835 (in the U.S.) or Exynos 8895 (internationally) processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD slot for adding even more storage if you’d like. Powering the whole package is a 3300mAh battery that you can recharge over USB-C or wirelessly.

It’s expected that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Note 8 at an event on August 23rd. When it launches, the Note 8 will be offered in Midnight Black and Maple Gold, followed by Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue models. Pricing is expected to be near €1,000 ($1189 USD) in Europe.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note phones are typically top of the line products, and the Galaxy Note 8 sounds like it’ll be no different. With the combination of a huge display with thin bezels, dual rear cameras, and high-end specs, the Note 8 is shaping up to be one of the top phones of the year. Just keep in mind that if you’re thinking about picking one up, it’s not going to be cheap.
