Get excited, Apple fans, because today the Cupertino company announced the date of its next major event.
Apple will host a "special event" on September 12th at 10:00 am, according to invitations that it's now sending out to members of the press. The event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, Calif.
As is usually the case with Apple events, the company isn't saying what it has planned for this event. Considering the leaks we've seen lately and the timing of the event, though, it's likely that we'll see new iPhone hardware here. Rumors have speculated that Apple is prepping three new iPhone models: a Plus model with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, an updated iPhone X with a 5.8-inch OLED, and a more affordable model with a 6.1-inch LCD display.
What else do you hope to see at Apple's event? A new Apple Watch? Updated AirPods?
