Heads up, prepaid users, because today AT&T made some changes to its prepaid rate plans.

AT&T today rolled out some refreshed prepaid plans. There's now a plan that includes 8GB of high-speed data for $50 per month, but that price will drop to $40 per month if you enroll in autopay. The plan also includes unlimited talk and text, support for using your talk and text in Mexico and Canada, HD video streaming, and mobile hotspot.

This 8GB plan replaces the old 6GB plan that was priced at $45 per month, or $40 with autopay.

Also of note is that AT&T is increasing the autopay discount for its lower priced unlimited data plan. The plan's base price of $65 per month is unchanged, but if you enroll in autopay, AT&T will now charge you $55 per month for the plan instead of the previous $60 autopay price. This plan includes unlimited high-speed data but no HD streaming or mobile hotspot, and you are always at risk of having your data speeds reduced at times of network congestions.

Finally, AT&T has bumped up the mobile hotspot allotment of its top-end unlimited data plan. This plan costs $85 per month but drops to $75 if you enroll in autopay. It includes unlimited high-speed data, 10GB of mobile hotspot (up from 6GB), HD video streaming, and a 22GB threshold at which point your speeds will be slowed during times of network congestion.
