Google Pixel 3 XL screen earns 'Highest A+ Rating' from testing firm DisplayMate

Google Pixel 3 XL Just Black official

DisplayMate has previously praised the displays on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and iPhone XS Max, and now the testing firm is talking up the screen on Google's new flagship.

DisplayMate says that it has tested the screen on the Google Pixel 3 XL and has given it its "Highest A+ Rating" as well as a "DisplayMate Best Smartphone Display Award". The group's full analysis of the Pixel 3 XL's screen will be available on Monday, October 15th.

Not only is this news exciting for anyone interested in a Google Pixel 3 XL, it's especially newsworthy because the Pixel 2 XL caught a lot of flak for its display quality. Many folks were disappointed in the screen on the Pixel 2 XL, and while Google tried to address those concerns by adding a "Saturated" color mode to let owners punch up the colors on their Pixel 2 XL's display, the phone never really got away from its reputation for having a lower quality screen. The good news is that it sounds like the Pixel 3 XL has no such issues, which is great for anyone thinking of dropping $899 or more on Google's new flagship smartphone.

Does DisplayMate's verdict have you interested in the Google Pixel 3 XL?
