The start of a new month means new Android security patches from Google, and that's precisely what we've gotten today.
Google today posted the April 2018 update images for its Nexus and Pixel devices. Both the factory images and OTA images are available for you to sideload if you want to go that route. You can also wait for the over the air update to hit your device, which should happen in the coming days.
Google has also posted the security bulletins that detail what fixes are in its latest security update. There are patches for vulnerabilities relted to the Android runtime, framework, and Broadcom and Qualcomm components.
Also included in the updates for Pixel devices are several functional updates. For example, Google has enabled Assisted Dialing support for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, improved lock screen performance for all Pixel models, and improved VoLTE performance on some carriers for the Nexus 5X, Pixel and Pixel XL, and Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
