Google has offered public beta versions of both Android Nougat and Oreo, and now it’s extending its public beta tests to Android Wear.
Google today announced a beta for the next Android Wear update. The update is currently only available to the LG Watch Sport, and owners of that device can go here to enroll in the beta test.
As for what’s included in this update, Google says that it’s “mainly a technical upgrade to API 26 with enhancements to background limits and notification channels.” Specifically, users can choose the types of notifications that they receive via an app through notification channels, and there are increased restrictions on background services.
If you’re a developer or just someone that loves getting into the nitty gritty details of an update, you can find out more about this Android Wear beta at the Android Developers Blog link below.
