Late last year, Sprint announced its High Performance User Equipment (HPUE) technology that can expand the coverage of its 2.5GHz service by up to 30 percent. Not all devices support HPUE, but Sprint says that it’s now hit a milestone with HPUE.
Sprint has launched 10 HPUE-capable devices in 10 months. They’re all Android phones and they come from manufacturers like Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola, and Google.
The full list of Sprint’s HPUE-capable devices looks like this:
- Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8
- LG V30+
- LG G6
- LG X Charge
- Motorola Z2 Force
- HTC U11
- Google Pixel 2
- ZTE Max XL
- ZTE Warp 8
There’s a nice range of devices in that list, including lower-end models and flagship smartphones. Because having HPUE can give you improved coverage, including indoors, it’s good to see a variety of HPUE-capable phones coming to Sprint’s shelves.
