iOS 11.1 beta 5 update released by Apple

iPhone 8 Plus hands-on video review

Another iOS 11.1 beta is here.

Apple today unleashed iOS 11.1 beta 5 to developers. Registered iOS devs can grab the update by going into Settings > General > Software Update on their device or to Apple’s Developer Center on their computer.

The public beta for Apple Beta Software Program members should be live in the next day or two.

iOS 11.1 will bring with it new emoji, including a vampire, a pie, a scarf, a monocle face, and more. It’ll also have a 3D Touch App Switcher, multiple emoji suggestions, and a faster unlock animation.

There’s no word on when iOS 11.1 will be released to the public, but it could happen in the next week or so. Not only is the iPhone X launching on November 3rd, but Apple is pushing out new beta updates at a pretty brisk pace right now, suggesting that they’re working to quickly squash bugs and get to a stable release that can be offered to the public.
