After revealing its new Gear 360 camera back in March, Samsung today revealed when you’ll actually be able to buy the thing.
The new Samsung Gear 360 will launch in stores and online tomorrow, May 25th. It’ll be available from Samsung.com and the ShopSamsung app, of course, as well as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, Best Buy, BestBuy.com, and Amazon.
The Gear 360 will be priced at $229. However, if you purchase a Galaxy S8 or S8+ between May 25th and June 19th, you can get a Gear 360 for just $49.
Samsung’s Gear 360 is a camera that can capture 360-degree images. You can also record 4K video and live stream with the device. The Gear 360 is compatible with select Samsung smartphones like the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, and Galaxy A5 and A7, as well as the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus. The Gear 360 also supports PCs and Macs.
The new Gear 360 looks much-improved over its predecessor, offering a nicer handle to help you grip it while capturing your 360-degree images. The new model is also considerably cheaper than the original Gear 360, which was priced at $349.99 at launch.
Now that we know that its launch date and price, are you thinking about picking up Samsung’s new Gear 360?
