ZTE MAX XL packs 6-inch display and Android 7.1.1, launching today at Boost Mobile

After launching the ZMAX Pro on MetroPCS and T-Mobile last year, ZTE today announced another 6-inch Android phablet for Boost Mobile.

The ZTE MAX XL is launching today on Boost Mobile for $101.99 after a $28 promotional discount. In exchange for your hard-earned dollars, you’ll get an Android 7.1.1 smartphone with next to no customizations, something that ZTE focused on when creating the MAX XL.

Also included with the ZTE MAX XL is a 6-inch 1920x1080 display, octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a microSD slot for adding even more storage. There’s also 13-megapixel camera around back with a fingerprint reader below it, a 5-megapixel camera around front, and a beefy 3990mAh battery.

Finally, the ZTE MAX XL includes High Performance User Equipment (HPUE) support, which boosts the reach of Sprint’s 2.5GHz coverage by up to 30 percent.

The ZTE MAX XL looks like a solid Android phablet from ZTE. It’s got a large, high-res display, a large battery to help power that display, and Android 7.1.1, which few other Android are currently running. All of those features are crammed into an affordable package. So if you’re on Boost, the ZTE MAX XL could be worth a look.
