A month and a half after Fortnite first came to iOS, we finally know when Android users will be able to get in on the battle royale action.
Fortnite maker Epic Games is targeting a summer release for the Android version of its popular game. No other details are available right now, though, so Android users will have to wait a bit longer before they know exactly when they can start jumping from the Battle Bus.
Epic also detailed some of the other new features coming to Fortnite on mobile devices. These include a customizable heads-up display (HUD) which launched this week, improvements to Autorun and better ways to fire, a reduction in the installation size of the game, improvements to game performance, and a Battery Saver mode that'll let you increase performance if you lower the graphics quality.
Also in the works is voice chat, including the ability to chat with teammates regardless of platform, and stat tracking for mobile players, which Epic says is coming this summer. Finally, Epic is working to improve the stability of Fortnite on mobile, including fixing crashes as they're reported.
Have you tried Fortnite on mobile yet? If so, what do you think of it?
