We've seen several smartphone makers get in on the smartwatch game in recent years, and now it's happening again.
BLU Products has introduced its new X Link smartwatch. It's now available on Amazon, and while orders are currently backordered, you can buy an X Link now and have it shipped to you when the watch is back in stock.
Perhaps the most notable feature of the BLU X Link is its price tag. Many smartwatches cost a couple hundred dollars, but the X Link costs just $60. Despite that low price, the X Link includes features like a color display and built-in cellular connectivity.
The spec list of the BLU X Link includes a 1.1-inch IPS display, 320mAh battery, heart rate monitor, pedometer, sleep monitor, and a body that's IP54 rated for water and dust resistance. It's also got Bluetooth 4.0 for connecting to your Android or iOS smarpthone.
BLU has added 2G cellular connectivity to the X Link as well so that you can place phone calls and send and receive texts. AT&T shut down its 2G network last year, but you can still use the X Link on T-Mobile in the U.S.
The BLU X Link is a pretty basic smartwatch, but its low price makes it an interesting option for someone new to the smartwatch market or someone that just doesn't want to spend much on a wearable. What do you think fo the BLU X Link?
