Months after making its official debut in China, the Nokia 6 will be coming stateside.
HMD Global has announced that the Nokia 6 will launch in the U.S. in early July 2017. HMD, who manufactures Nokia phones, says that the Nokia 6 will be sold on Amazon for $229.
When it comes to color options, the Nokia 6 will be offered in Matte Black and Silver initially. Tempered Blue and Copper colors will be added later this summer.
The Nokia 6 runs Android Nougat on a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display. It’s got a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, dual speakers, and an aluminum unibody shell. Inside that shell is a Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, dual SIM slots, and a 3200mAh battery.
When it launches in the U.S., the Nokia 6 will have full support for T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network. It’ll have partial support for AT&T’s LTE network, with bands 29 and 30 excluded, while it will have no support for Sprint or Verizon.
One other detail worth noting is that the Nokia 6 will be updated to Android O, so if you’re on the fence about buying the Nokia 6 when it makes its way to the U.S., you can rest easy knowing that you’ll be updated to the next major Android release.
