Project Fi is only officially compatible with a handful of phones, and the only ones that are currently available for purchase are the Pixel and Pixel XL. That’ll change soon.
Google has revealed that a new Project Fi-compatible phone “at a mid-tier price” is coming later this year. The mystery device will come from one of Google’s partners, but that’s all that we know about it right now.
We hear you loud and clear. Keep an eye out for a new Fi-compatible device at a mid-tier price from one of our partners later this year. https://t.co/74U3bq16pa

The cheapest smartphone that you can buy for Project Fi right now is the Google Pixel, which starts at $649. That’s not exactly cheap, and it could turn would-be Project Fi customers from joining the service. The news that an affordable Fi-compatible phone is on the way is good to hear, and it’ll be interesting to see exactly which device it is.
Are you using Project Fi? If so, which device are you using on it?
