Google Photos is learning a new trick.
Google announced today that Google Photos can now suggest images that you may want to archive. The Assistant in Google Photos will pop up and show you the various images that it thinks you could archive, and you can review all of the suggestions before actually archiving them.
As a reminder, you can always view the images that you’ve archived by opening the left-hand menu and tapping Archive. When you archive an image, it’s simply removed from your main library.
Archive suggestions is a nice feature for Google to add to Google Photos. If you’ve got a sizable image library, you may not want to regularly scroll through it to find images that need archiving. Now you don’t have to, and instead you can let the Assistant select the images that it thinks should be stashed away.
