One day after Sprint jointly agreed with T-Mobile to end their merger talks, Sprint has announced that it's struck a deal with another company.
Sprint has agreed to a deal with Altice USA. The multi-year deal will see Altice USA use Sprint's network to offer mobile voice and data services, while Sprint will utilize Altice USA's broadband platform to continue densifying its network.
Altice USA offers broadband internet, TV, and phone services under brands like Optimum and Suddenlink. Now it looks like they'll offer wireless service, too, becoming the latest MVNO for Sprint. Other MVNOs that run on Sprint's network include Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
Meanwhile, Sprint will get to use Altice USA's broadband platform to help improve its network. That's been a major focus for Sprint lately, and this deal will help continue that effort.
