Amazon FreeTime comes to Android to distract more kids

Amazon FreeTime is bound to entertain a lot more kids than it used to now that it's available on Android phones and tablets. The subscription service for kids and tweens could only be accessed through Kindles, Fire tablets and Fire TVs before this. Now that it's out on Google Play, you can hand your children any Android device so they can watch curated videos and read age-appropriate books. Take note the the app itself is free and comes with parental controls, as well as a selection of 40,000 YouTube videos and websites that the FreeTime team hand picked. However, the FreeTime Unlimited service that gives kids access to over 10,000 books, games and apps will set you back $3 per month.
