HTC Halfbeak Android Wear smartwatch appears in new batch of leaked photos

HTC Halfbeak Android Wear smartwatch photos leak

We haven’t heard much about HTC’s rumored Halfbeak smartwatch since we last saw the device leak in October 2016, but today the Android Wear device is showing its face again in more photos.

Several images that show the HTC Halfbeak have appeared on Chinese social network Weibo. The photos show us the front and rear of the device, including several looks at the Android Wear 1.3 software that it runs.

The round display on the HTC Halfbeak is said to have a resolution of 360x360. There are a couple of buttons on the side of the watch, and on the rear there’s a heart rate sensor, some charging pogo pins, and an Under Armour logo that suggests that the Halfbeak could be another entry in HTC’s partnership with UA.

There’s no word on when or if this HTC Halfbeak might actually launch. We’ve been hearing rumors about an HTC smartwatch for years now, and HTC was even named as an Android Wear partner when Google first announced the platform, but so far we’ve yet to see an HTC smartwatch actually hit the market. While we wait to see if this Halfbeak will change that, you can hit the Android Police link below to see a few more photos of the device.
