After launching its Android Enterprise Recommended program earlier this year, Google is now expanding it to include a new type of device.
The Android Enterprise Recommended program will now include rugged devices. Google explains that Android is expected to become the largest rugged OS by shipments in 2019, growing by 23 percent over the next year. - 16GB of storage
- 1.1GHz processor speed
- 32-bit architecture
- IP64 water and dust resistance
- MIL-STD-810G or IEC 62-2-32 drop test integrity, 4-foot (1.2M) repeated drops to concrete

- Devices must adhere to Provisioning UX Workflows

- Support current shipping release and one letter upgrade
- Future dessert upgrades, including carrier certification, must be available to all Enterprise Recommended devices within 18 months of the board support package (BSP) drop
