Amazon intros updated Echo Dot, Echo Plus, and Echo Show, also reveals new Echo Sub

Today Amazon held an event in Seattle to introduce new Alexa-powered products.

Amazon today introduced refreshed versions several Echo speakers, including the affordable Echo Dot and the Echo Show. There's even a brand new Echo speaker called the Echo Amp. Here's the breakdown for these new models:

  • Echo Dot: The new third-gen Echo Dot features a fabric-covered design, like the current Echo, and comes with improved sound over the previous model. You can use your voice to ask Alexa questions and give it commands, and you can connect your own speakers over Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio. The new Echo Dot is now available for pre-order will ship on October 11th for $49.99.

Amazon Echo Plus 2nd Gen

  • Echo Plus: Like the Echo Dot, the new Echo Plus is covered in fabric. It's got new premium speakers powered by Dolby and since it's an Echo device, you get Amazon's Alexa assistant, too. Also included with the Echo Plus is a built-in smart home hub to make it easier to control smart lights, locks, plugs, and sensors. The updated Echo Plus is available for pre-order and will launch on October 11th for $149.99.

Amazon Echo Show 2nd Gen

  • Echo Show: The updated Echo Show offers several new features over its predecessor. It's got a new design that highlights the bigger 10.1-inch screen, placing the speaker on the back of the device. There's a 5MP camera on the front for video calling, a built-in smart home hub, and improved speakers that have dual 2-inch premium drivers and a passive bass radiator. The new Echo Show can now be pre-ordered and will be released on October 11th for $229.99.

Amazon Echo Sub official

  • Echo Sub: The Echo Sub is an all-new Amazon Echo device that, as its name suggests, adds some bass to your Echo. You can pair the Echo Sub with one or two Echo or Echo Plus devices, and if you have two Echo or Echo Plus models, you can get stereo sound. The Echo Sub offers down-firing, 100W bass sound using a 6-inch woofer. The Echo Sub is now available for pre-order and will launch on October 11th for $129.99.
