Google recently launched a new app called Files Go to help you manage your phone's storage on the go. Today an update to Files Go is rolling out with a few notable features.
Google is expanding SD card support in Files Go. You can now tap a "Show SD Card only" button to filter only files that are stored on your phone's SD card.
Files Go is also gaining tablet support. Files Go works with devices running Android 5.0 and up, and now that includes tablets.
Finally, you can now customize which apps open your files using the "Open with" feature. For example, you can choose a specific PDF viewing app to open PDF files if you'd like.
Files Go is a simple app, but it's pretty handy in that it helps you easily see all of your files and share files with others offline. It can help you free up storage, too, and Google says that users have saved more than 1.1GB of space on average since Files Go launched in December.
To give Files Go a try for yourself, hit the Google Play Store.
