There's no shortage of wallet apps out there that want to help you pay for stuff, including apps from device makers and retailers. Now we've got one more to add to the list.
Target today launched Target Wallet, a service that wants to help you shop at Target. The app integrates with Cartwheel, where Target offers digital savings, as well as weekly ad coupons. You can also enter your Target REDcard to pay for goods with the same app.
Soon you'll also be able to store and redeem Target gift cards in Target Wallet.
Target Wallet is now live in the Target app for Android and iPhone. Target says that using Target Wallet is up to four times faster than other payment types.
Target stores don't currently accept Android Pay or Apple Pay, so Target Pay is a way for people that normally use those services to pay digitally at Target. It's kind of disappointing that Target won't offer support for Android Pay or Apple Pay, but Target Wallet does look like a nice service for folks that shop at Target regularly, letting them redeem coupons and pay for their stuff all with one app.
