Some Samsung Galaxy Note 8 units unable to recharge after battery is completely depleted

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 hands-on review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been a nice contrast from the Note 7 in  that it hasn't had any major problems in the months following its release, but today a new issue with the flagship Android phone has popped up.

Some Galaxy Note 8 users are reporting that after they let their phone's battery completely deplete, it refuses to recharge. When these users plug their phone in, even overnight, the red charging LED refuses to come on and the phone won't power back up.

Samsung hasn't issued an official announcement about this problem, but users that've been affected by it should reach out to Samsung about getting a replacement Note 8.

Having your phone refuse to charge back up after its battery runs down completely is a pretty big deal, but the good news is that anyone affected by the issue should be able to get their phone swapped out for a replacement fairly easily since it's still so new. Here's to hoping that Samsung figures out what's going on soon so that the problem doesn't continue to affect Note 8 owners in the future.
