Nokia 8 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage appears in FCC, may be coming to U.S.

When the Nokia 8 was introduced, HMD Global said that the flagship device would roll out globally, and it looks more details on the U.S. model may have just come out.

An HMD Global device with Nokia branding was recently spotted in the FCC, complete with the model numbers TA-1012 and TA-1004. As you can see in the image above, the Nokia 8 carries the model number TA-1012, which means that the device we’re looking at the listing for is the Nokia 8.

What’s notable is that this FCC mentions that HMD Global is requesting changes to the Nokia 8’s FCC filing. Specifically, it says that the company wants to add “6GB + 128GB” to the device’s memory type. HMD is also adding ANT+ and WCDMA Band IV features via software.

When HMD Global announced the Nokia 8 last month, it confirmed that there would be a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The folks at Nokiapoweruser have heard from their sources that the 6GB/128GB Nokia 8 will be coming to the U.S., and while this FCC entry doesn’t confirm that since devices do get certified for use in the U.S. without actually being launched here, it does add some support to NPU’s claims.

Will you buy the 6GB/128GB Nokia 8 if it launches in the U.S.?
