Verizon Wear24 launching May 11 with Android Wear 2.0 in tow

Verizon Wear24 Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch

Verizon’s Wear24 smartwatch was originally slated to launch in March, but that month came and went without a release. Now we’ve got a new release date to circle on our calendar.

Verizon says that the Wear24 will be released on May 11. It’ll be available online and in stores at a price of $349.99. If you’d like to save some cast upfront, you’ll be able to get the Wear24 for $299.99 on a two-year contract.

Adding the Verizon Wear24 to an existing Verizon Plan will cost $5 per month.

Verizon’s Wear24 runs Android Wear 2.0 on a 1.39-inch display and packs NFC support as well as a 450mAh battery. Its case has a 42mm diameter, is 13.5mm thick, and can be submerged in up to 3.3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
