Unlimited data plans are once again a thing in the US, with all four major US carriers battling it out in recent months to one-up each other on unlimited data offerings. Today AT&T is announcing a new feature for its unlimited data plan.
AT&T will include free HBO service with its Unlimited Plus plan starting April 6. This feature will be available to new and existing AT&T customers, so everyone can take advantage of this offer.
AT&T Unlimited Plus customers that already subscribe to HBO through an AT&T video service like DirecTV, DirecTV Now, or U-verse TV will begin getting HBO at no additional charge. If you’ve got an AT&T video service but no HBO, that channel will be added to your package. And if you don’t subscribe to an AT&T video service, you’ll be able to access HBO through the DirecTV Now and HBO Go apps.
HBO offers a lot of popular TV shows, including Game of Thrones, VEEP, and Westworld, so this is a pretty nice addition to AT&T’s Unlimited Plus plan. As a refresher, the Unlimited Plus plan costs $90 per month with paperless billing and autopay. It includes unlimited talk, text, and data, HD video streaming, and 10GB of high-speed mobile hotspot usage.
