Google Pixel users will get Call Screen transcript saving feature later this year

Google Pixel 3 Call Screen

Last week we learned that Google had begun pushing its new Call Screen feature to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL users. Now some more exciting news regarding Call Screen has come out.

Google has confirmed that it plans to launch support for saving Call Screen transcripts. The feature will begin rolling out later this year, with public beta testers of Google's Phone app getting access first and then all Pixel 3 owners receiving it later in the year.

With this feature, the transcript for the screen portion of a call will be automatically saved in your Call Log once the call is over. You can then access it via the Call Details section of an individual call log item.

Call Screen enables you to have the Google Assistant answer a call to ask why the person on the other line is calling. Now Call Screen will get even better by automatically saving your transcripts, which could come in handy by letting you quickly and easily reference what someone said if you need to call them back.

Have you tried Google's Call Screen feature yet?
